Jahangir Peer dargah gets `50 cr

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao fulfilled his another vow by visiting the famous Jahangir Peer Dargah in Kottur mandal in Rangareddy on Friday.

HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao fulfilled his another vow by visiting the famous Jahangir Peer Dargah in Kottur mandal in Rangareddy on Friday.

He placed chaddar and flowers at the grave. Rao had vowed to visit the Dargah once a separate state of Telangana was formed. “When I was Mahbubnagar MP, I vowed near Jahangir Peer Dargah,” he said later. He announced `50 crore for the development of the Dargah. Rao also announced `10 lakh for each village which surrounded the Dargah and `5 lakh for each hamlet for their development.

Rao also announced that guest houses for devotees visiting the Dargah would be built in a 100-acre land.
Deputy chief minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali and others accompanied him.
