HYDERABAD: “If Ram mandir isn’t constructed before 2019, I am going to resign from the BJP and start a yudh (war) of my own,” said BJP MLA Raja Singh in Goshamahal on Tuesday. The MLA, who is not a stranger to controversial statements, said, “If Muslims in Ayodhya have agreed to construct the temple, what is the problem with the rest of India?”

Singh’s statements have come a day after UP CM Yogi Adityanath, at a gathering to felicitate Sadhus, assured that the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would be constructed before 2019 general elections. Singh too had attended the gathering. He also said that the one in Ayodhya is not the only temple that is going to be built. “After the construction of the Ram Mandir, we will move on to Kashi and Mathura where Mughals constructed many mosques by breaking down temples.”

Singh said that a “mosque has been built in the jail where Lord Krishna was born.” He also criticised AIMIM supremo Assaduddin Owaisi and his brother by calling them, traitors. “Muslims in Telangana know that the two brothers only care about money. I urge Muslims from the rest of India to come to Telangana and see how AIMIM has destroyed the state, “ the MLA said, adding that BJP would win the next state elections. This is Singh’s first statement after a case was registered against him for his statements on Iftar parties.
