HYDERABAD: Disappointed that the Prof Tirupati Rao Committee has failed to submit its report even after two months of May 29 deadline, Hyderabad Schools Parents Association (HSPA) demanded the school education department to call for a meeting to discuss the functioning of the committee and seek clarity on the delay in its submission.
In a letter to the director of school education, the parents’ association said that the entire exercise of formation of the committee is to delay the action against erring schools. “The scope given to the committee was very specific to recommending changes if any to the already finalised draft GO for school fee regulation and the time given was 30 days. However, even after more than 130 days since the formation of the committee, we have no clarity on either the scope of the committee, its functioning or any hope of finalising the report of the committee,” the letter read.
