As many gear up for the upcoming wedding season, trousseau designers are very much in demand. One of the first few designers to launch their bridal collections this season was Kimmi Tej who showcased her exquisite line at Aza, Crescent Mall.

Comprising elegant saris, exclusive lehengas and sherwanis for men, the collections spells opulence. ‘‘I decided to launch at Aza as they are known to house some of the best in bridal and couture collections. My inspiration was the ‘Mughal Era’ and each outfit stands to mirror the innumerable different emotions of a woman,’’ she says.

Intelligent use of colours like haldi yellow, kumkum red, fushia, lime green, along with delicate textures, fluid fabrics, ethnic silhouettes have been employed into the line. Mughal jewellery motifs like kundan, zardosi and diamante crystals have been intricately used to make the line glamorous.

Entrepreneurs and friends like Ramola Bachchan, Neena Varma, Seema Puri, Radhikha Jha, Dimple Fouzdar and others adorned the collection.
