One of India’s largest art fairs, ‘United Art Fair 2012’ is here again. Being held today at Pragati Maidan, it will see over 500 handpicked artists from across the country. Showcasing nearly 2,000 works of art cutting across various visual art genres, it will prove to be  an international platform for budding Indian artists. ‘‘We travelled all over India and found that the young artists needed patronage. This fair is all about collapsing the monopolies developed in the art scene during the boom years. We are taking artists to the patrons directly. The fair is an interface of creativity and commerce,” says Annurag Sharma, the director.
