United we stand for Uttarakhand

Nothing good ever comes off any tragedy—natural or man-made, or does it? It does actually. It always sees the entire nation come together to support, share and resurrect.

Nothing good ever comes off any tragedy—natural or man-made, or does it? It does actually. It always sees the entire nation come together to support, share and resurrect. Two examples of which are: the Harley and the Niv Art Centre fund-raiser for the Uttarakhand deluge.

While in the former, a group of 50 Harley Davidson riders have pledged to raise funds for 14,000 km (Rs 25 for every km), in the latter, the Niv Art Centre is presenting an exhibition, titled After the Raudra, by Abheda Ganga Maiya Trust. The initiative involves construction of 60 houses for Gaurikund, Thriyugi, Narayan, Toshi, Badasu and Fata in Uttarakhand. The exhibit that starts today and goes on till August 25 will see artists like Ajay Lala, Bahuleyan CB, Binoy Varghese, Bose Krishnamachari, Josh PS, Kaladharant, Kanchan Chander, Suparna Mondal and others. On view at the Niv Art Centre from 11 am to 7 pm.
