BENGALURU: The Bidar Air Force Station in Karnataka witnessed a special moment last Saturday, when a father-son duo flew together in a Hawk MK132 aircraft.
Air Marshal Kulwant Singh Gill and his son, Flying Officer Shahbeg Gill, were part of the same formation which saw the flight of three jets. The aircraft took off at 3 pm and landed an hour later.
When asked about the experience of flying with his son, the Air Marshal said it was a historical moment for the IAF and a memorable one for himself. He has served in the IAF for 38 years and has put in 7,000 hours of accident/incident-free flying so far.
