It's Raining Worries in Kerala

KOCHI: Experts fear the risk of drought and flood in Kerala in the future, due to changes in rain patterns. In the last eight years, the state registered above normal rainfall during south west monsoon only three times (2014, 2013 and 2011). It had a rainfall deficit in remaining five years. During north east monsoon, Kerala saw above normal rainfall thrice (2014, 2010 and 2009), and received below normal rainfall in remaining years.
