Rs 70,000 Crore Aid: Why Isn't Naveen Patnaik Spending Any?

BHUBANESWAR: Even as the ruling BJD continues to cry Central negligence, it has come to light that the Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha government has failed to spend Central allocation— Central assistance and share of different schemes—of more than Rs70,000 crore during the last 10 years.

Official sources maintained that the Centre has provided more than Rs11,000 crore alone under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), during the past decade. Besides, the state has received more than Rs9,000 crore for drinking water and sanitation.
