Katrina Kaif is busy walking the red carpet at Cannes as the latest recruit of L’Oreal from India. She took over from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Kat’s debut outing at Cannes was under the microscope of the fashion police.
For a press interaction at the French Riviera, she wore a monochromatic dress with a sexy slit by designer Milly. It was a perfect choice for an afternoon occasion. Her first gown outing on the red carpet was carefully sober. Kat wore an off-shoulder Oscar de la Renta nude gown, but what did not go down well with desi fashionistas was the red tint of her hair. Kat also clicked selfies with Jullianne Moore and put it on the Twitter, but the selfie made Katrina’s nose look disastrous.
On the second night, at the premiere of Mad Max, the diva went all red. She wore an Elie Saab body-hugging gown and complemented the look with a red lipstick and her already red-tinted hair. Most felt that Katrina would had done better by showing some skin. No thigh-high slits or cleavage-revealing necks was playing it safe to the extent of being boring on Katrina’s part. Hope next year she adds some oomph to her look.
