NEW DELHI:The Centre has accorded ‘Y’ category security protection to 10 politicians including controversial BJP MP Swami Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi alias Sakshi Maharaj. Sakshi will enjoy the CRPF protection in Delhi and Unnao, his constituency.
Sakshi Maharaj has earlier called Nathuram Godse a true patriot. He has also claimed that madrasas teach students terrorism and love jihad. He has also faced rape and murder charges. With the latest addition, the tally of CRPF protectees has touched 66.
The Nine others are UP BJP chief Keshav Prasad Mourya, Kerala state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan, Tripura BJP boss Biplab Kumar Deb, Lok Sabha MPs—Janardan Singh Sigriwal and Sushil Kumar—, Uttar Pradesh MLAs Mukesh Sharma and Sribhagwan Sharma and Kerala BJP general secretaries K Surendran and MT Ramesh. Former state BJP chief and national executive member P K Krishnadas is also on the list.
