NEW DELHI: On June 21, the fitness enthusiasts and health conscious will take long deep breaths and aim to strike a perfect yoga pose. India’s gift to the world, yoga, has come to represent the county’s soft power as nations across the world adopted the system with open arms. Back home, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Chandigarh as second International Yoga Day will be observed.
The NDA government has also deputed all its ministers to be present in different cities, some of them in their Lok Sabha constituencies on Tuesday, to hold yoga sessions. The presence of ministers would ensure that functions are held with proper care, while earning goodwill for the two-year-old government.
