In view of the submission, the court said the issues raised in the petition need to be considered and it was not possible on Monday due to paucity of time.
Last month, the revenue department had ordered a audit to probe alleged irregularities committed in the Board during Amanatullah Khan’s tenure as chairman.

The letter from the office of principal secretary (revenue) directed Delhi Waqf Board to provide "all concerned auditable records and information as per scope and period of audit," to the audit team
The returning officer and north Delhi District Magistrate Shinde Dipak Arjun handed over the certificate of election to Khan, officials of the Board said.
The court also declined to entertain the petitioner's lawyer's plea that the costs be reduced.

According to senior officials of the government privy to the matter a south Delhi resident had challenged the nomination of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan citing corruption charges levelled against him.
Another official of the board, said that if Khan’s nomination is found valid after scrutiny, he would be declared elected unopposed.
Khan held a meeting in this regard with the officials of Delhi government on Friday in which progress of riots cases was discussed.

Khan was seen actively carrying out welfare activities including for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims of communal violence in northeast Delhi.
