Among the ten new cases reported, three were in East Godavari district, two each in Anantapur and Kurnool districts and one each in West Godavari, Chittoor and Guntur district
The woman who tested positive for Omicron in East Godavari district in a video message said that she was healthy and recovering fast.
Health department officials said, the woman, after testing positive for Covid-19 had immediately left her native village in East Godavari district in a car and went into home isolation.
Six of her family members were tested and found negative for Covid-19 The foreign traveller is healthy and in institutional quarantine, said DPH Hymavathi.
Kurnool, once again, did not report any growth even as four other districts registered single-digit spikes, and contributed 17 to the Thursday's gross of 148 cases.

While seven districts have less than 1,000 active cases, three of them have less than 100 cases with the lowest of 34 in Kurnool.
Meanwhile, 1,243 recoveries and 11 Covid deaths were registered after which the overall recoveries and toll rose to 20,04,786 and 14,030, respectively.
The State recorded 1,546 Covid-19 infections from more than 59,000 samples tested in the 24 hours preceding 9 am on Monday.
Chittoor, East Godavari, Krishna each add 300 fresh infections; toll reaches 13,332
Another 3,231 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries past 18.81 lakh with a cumulative recovery rate of 98.2 per cent.
The twin Godavari districts, however, will have to wait for these relaxations till the positivity rate comes down to below five per cent.

Among the 13 districts, only East Godavari reported more than a thousand cases with the district recording 1,247 fresh infections followed by Chittoor with 919 cases.
All 13 districts in Andhra Pradesh each registered less than 900 fresh cases of coronavirus, adding to 5,741 and taking the overall tally to 18,20,134.
