Surjewala alleged that a BJP leader brought 890 metres of land in Ayodhya for Rs 20 lakh in February and sold it to the Temple Trust for a whopping Rs 2.5 crore, making a profit of 1250 percent.
Singh, AAP's Uttar Pradesh in-charge, alleged that Rs 16.50 crore was looted in the name of the temple of Lord Shri Ram to be built in Ayodhya.
The trouble started after the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha took out a protest march towards Shiv Sena Bhavan in Dadar, the Sena's headquarters.
It stated that the 1.2080 hectare land was purchased at the rate of Rs 1423 per Square Feet, which is much less than the actual market rate in Ayodhya.

Surjewala said facts that have come to light point to scam in funds collected from devotees and this amounts to committing a big sin and wrongdoing.
