V Kamaleshan, former German language teacher in the school at Mudalipalayam, phoned a school teacher and told her that he had planted a bomb on the campus and hung up.
An alert on the call was received by the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Karnataka from the Railway Control Room in Agra on Tuesday evening.
A man who sent a bomb hoax to a U.K. coronavirus vaccine factory and similar parcels elsewhere was sentenced to more than two years in prison.
The call was made at Tuesday midnight, following which the police was informed.
The arrested man, identified as Ganeshan, confessed that he was in an inebriated condition when he made the call.
