Nishita Das of Modern Public School, Balasore has scored a record 99.8 per cent in the recently announced CBSE Class X board results. Her score -499 out of total 500 marks.
The passing rate in the Class X board exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to 99.99 per cent up from last year’s 99.21 in Telangana.
ODM Public School’s Sriram Patnaik scored 499 marks out of 500 to secure 99.8 per cent (pc) followed by Pratikshya Pradhan and Surya Pratap Mishra who bagged 99.6 pc each.
A total 43,630 Class X students from the State were assessed for the exams out of which 43,288 cleared, CBSE Regional Director for Bhubaneswar region T Mate said.

The number of students in the two categories have increased by over 38 per cent and nine per cent respectively since last year.
Schools in the State capital have excelled in the CBSE Class XII Board exams this year with many of them posting 100 per cent first division results.
Schools in the capital district put up a good show in the CBSE Class XII examinations, the results of which were announced on Friday.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the Founder’s Day event at Ethiraj College for Women.
The CBSE has also notified its evaluation criteria for assessing Class XII students, but many students appear unhappy with the arrangement.
The board has directed officials to carry out "sudden inspection" without providing schools any prior information regarding their visit.
The official added that if the tests are taken at all CBSE-affiliated schools, it will raise the number of centres and will reduce crowding.
The fake circular also announced that the dates of results for Classes 12 and 10 exams will be 11 and 13 July respectively. However, the results are tentatively expected on July 15.
Meghna Srivastava, from Ghaziabad, has topped the exams with 499 marks out of 500.
