In the last 24 hours, 44,724 samples were tested for COVID-19 in West Bengal
1,268 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the state's overall recovery count to 1,51,946.
Mumbai city reported 1,257 positive cases during the day, which pushed its overall case count to 2,50,059, while its death toll rose to 10,059 of which 50 were reported on Saturday.
A total of 52,980 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, at the rate of 815.08 tests per day per million population.
Srinagar district reported the highest number of 154 new COVID-19 cases, followed by 121 in Jammu district, the officials said.

Bhopal's CMHO Prabhakar Tiwari said information about all deaths are given to relevant authorities in time, adding that a probe would take place if the health departments orders them to conduct one.
