At least 27 people have died after a massive fire broke out in a four-storey commercial building near pillar number 545 at Mundka metro station in west Delhi. Bulldozers razed several structures in violence-hit #Jahangirpuri on Wednesday during an anti-encroachment drive by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation but it was stopped within hours following a Supreme Court order. COVID-19 cases in Delhi on April 20th rose 26% to 632 since April 19th. After a steady fall in Covid cases, Delhi has seen a surge in new cases over the last one week. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday presented a Rs 75,800 crore budget in the Assembly for the financial year 2022-23. "Delhi's economy is recovering gradually from the impact of COVID-19. The budget allocation for 2022-23 is Rs 75,800 crore," Sisodia said in his budget speech. The budget size for the financial year 2021-22 was Rs 69,000 crore.
