The prisons department launched a Covid vaccination drive for the inmates in the 45-plus age category on March 18, while the inoculation of the inmates in the 18-44 age group began on May 18.
A senior official said that the vaccination process for inmates over 45 years is already going on in the jail premises.
More than 450 inmates have been vaccinated so far, a senior jail official said, adding that none of them reported any complications.
Out of around 1,700 security personnel deployed with Delhi Prisons and who have registered on Co-WIN portal, 1,000 personnel have got the coronavirus vaccine shots.
The date, time and place of vaccination for each person will be intimated to him/her on their mobile number, officials said.
