The monsoon is likely to withdraw from Delhi-NCR by the end of the month as against the usual date of September 24-25, weather forecasters said on Monday.
The highest number of cases was recorded in West Delhi and the Najafgarh area with 11 and 10 cases respectively.
As per the state government's estimation, the flood-like situation may affect 36,746 people in the capital city.
The city is likely to get light showers till July 5 while an ‘Orange’ alert has been issued for July 6 by the state weather department.
Mercury comes down by seven notches, more showers predicted for next two days; rainfall deficit to end in July
Officials said that this was mainly on account of moisture-laden easterly winds blowing over Delhi and surrounding region, which induced the rain. Easterly winds are known to make the nights warmer.
