Deputy CM Manish Sisodia inaugurates Delhi Teachers University which aims to create world-class educators
The Delhi Teachers' University will be spread over 12 acres of land in Bakkarwala village and will have lecture halls, digital labs and a library with world-class facilities for 5000 students.
Manish Sisodia said that in past seven years, the Kejriwal government has been allocating 25 per cent of its annual budget to education every year.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government has increased the salary of guest teachers employed on contract to Rs 35,000 per month, said the Delhi Guest Teachers’ Association on Wednesday.

The Department of Education will issue necessary guidelines for this, said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday.
The zonal level training sessions — parts of the government’s parent outreach programme — will begin on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
The applications of HOSs will be verified by the deputy director of education (DDE) of the respective zone.
