The Delhi HC accepted an application filed by the Equestrian Federation of India in response to an order issued by it on July 20.
Rajasthan Equestrian Association (REA) had filed an application on July 17 accusing the EFI of violation of the National Sports Development Code for reserving key posts for Indian Army officers.
Earlier in the day, the EFI’s counsel requested for an adjournment citing extension of its recognition given by the sports ministry till March 31, 2020.
There has been increased political and government interference in the governance and management of the EFI, which is detrimental to the sport in the country, alleges the representation.
As many as 22 state units met at Embassy International Riding School in Bengaluru on Saturday to chart a roadmap for improving the landscape of the sport in the country.
As the sports ministry extended EFI recognition until March 31, 2020 earlier this month, the national body is now ready to discuss the way forward and earn back IOA recognition.
The EFI has been facing inner rebellion for some time now, with several state units questioning its functioning.
