The former minister, along with others, is accused of raping a woman and attempting to molest her minor daughter.
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on September 3 had granted the interim bail to Prajapati who was a minister in the erstwhile Samajwadi Party government.
Former minister and Samajwadi Party leader Gayatri Prajapati, who is accused of rape, was arrested by the Lucknow Police on Friday, in another case of cheating, criminal intimidation and forgery.
Gayatri Prajapati, who is out on bail, is believed to be conniving with the rape survivor to get the rape charges dropped.
Prajapati, who was jailed in a gang-rape and molestation case in March 2017, is currently admitted to King George's Medical University on health grounds.
The Samajwadi Party has dismissed allegations that the erstwhile Akhilesh Yadav government had 'shielded' its rape accused minister Gayatri Prajapati.
This development came a day after three persons were detained in connection with the case.
