Puri said the government had decided to grant ownership rights to the residents of 1,731 unauthorised colonies in the national capital first.
According to an official, boundaries of 200 unauthorised colonies have been uploaded for seeking suggestions from resident welfare associations.
Hardeep Singh Puri also said that interests of employees of the state-owned carrier Air India would be protected and there would be no job loss till its privatisation.
Puri said that a portal opened for the former employees is helping them in looking for new jobs.
The minister, who is hopeful that offers would come, said that government has now revised the terms which at present seems quite lucrative.
