The Safdarjung Observatory, whose reading is considered the official marking for Delhi, recorded the minimum at 2.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning.
The minimum temperatures were one to six degrees below normal at most places.
Leh town witnessed the coldest night of the season at minus 13.2 degrees Celsius, while Srinagar recorded a low of minus 0.9 degrees Celsius.
