Seven injured in twin blasts in Jammu's Narwal; security beefed up

Seven people were injured in two explosions within a span of 15 minutes here on Saturday, sources said. The additional director general of police (Jammu zone) confirmed the explosions and injuries to six people. Hospital sources, however, said seven people were admitted with splinter injuries and all of them are "stable".

Jammu and Kashmir: Minor boy killed, four injured in blast at Rajouri’s Dangri village

Nearly 12 hours after four civilians were killed and 7 others were injured in a militant firing in the border district of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, an explosion took place on Monday morning in Upper Dangri village, at the home of one of the victims, killing a minor boy and injuring four others.

Kashmiri Pandit shot dead in J&K; targeted killings continue in the valley

A Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by militants in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Puran Krishan Bhat, a father of two, was attacked near his residence in the Chowdhary Gund area of south Kashmir. Kashmir has been witnessing a series of such targeted killings since October 2021.

2 blasts hit Jammu and Kashmir within hours; No casualty reported

2 explosions took place in 2 buses in J&K’s Udhampur dist within a span of 8 hours, injuring 2 persons. An explosion took place in a parked bus near a petrol pump at Domail Chowk, Udhampur. The explosion, which was captured on CCTV, caused damage to the empty bus. Immediately after the explosion, police and security force men and officials rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

Amarnath cloudburst: 16 dead, over 40 missing; rescue operations underway

At least 16 people died and more than 40 are reported missing after a cloudburst near Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir on July 8. 15,000 stranded pilgrims have been shifted to the lower base camp of Panjtarni. Rescue operations began immediately by the Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and disaster management agencies. Following the tragedy, the Amarnath Yatra has been suspended.
