Manchester United on Friday announced that Juan Mata has agreed on a one-year contract, keeping him at Old Trafford until June 2022.
The 33-year-old Spain international came from Chelsea in 2014 and has made 273 appearances for United, scoring 51 goals.
Juan Mata thought he had put United 2-0 up against Huddersfield Town, only to be declared offside by the video assistant referee.
Mata wants to follow in the footsteps of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs and play into his forties at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United players must react as a unit to the shock Premier League defeat by Huddersfield said Juan Mata.
