At least two people were killed and five others wounded in the explosion, which appeared to target security forces in the Afghan capital, said Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz.
The first incident took place in the Gosfandi district in Sar-e-Pul province on Tuesday night,
Accordng to an official, a sticky bomb attached to an armored vehicle belonging to Kabul's deputy provincial governor killed two people, and wounded two others.
The Interior Ministry’s spokesman, Tariq Arian, said a total of 14 mortar shells were fired from two vehicles in the northern and eastern part of the Afghan capital.
The assault on the hospital came exactly a week after the Taliban launched a complex attack in Kabul targeting security force.
