BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya claimed he sees his party winning 150 seats, while former CM Digvijaya Singh of the Congress claimed his party would win at least 130 seats.
Vijayvargiya, who has never lost any election, has won six successive assembly polls from three different seats of the Indore district.
The yatra has been a seminal part of BJP’s warming-up exercise for assembly poll battles in MP since 2008.
All those who say Bharat Mata ki Jai are our brothers and we can lay down our lives for them, Kailash Vijayvargiya said.
Importantly, BJP’s best performance in MP assembly polls so far had perhaps happened in 2003 polls when led by Uma Bharti, the party had swept polls winning 173 seats, against Congress’s 38.
