A discussion on carry over of unutilised water by Telangana in the next water year was opposed by AP which argued that unused water can’t be accounted in the next year.
As per AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, both the river boards were to be constituted within 60 days from the appointment date of bifurcation, i.e. June 2, 2014.
The board has intimated the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti that an action plan for the move would be made once requisite funds come through.
