The deceased, Tippeswamy, was a vegetable vendor from Tumakuru and was staying in T Dasarahalli.
Two persons in their mid-twenties died in Purba Medinipur district's Nandigram, while two others, including a woman, were killed in Purba Bardhaman district.
All of them were working in paddy fields in separate villages when lightning struck them, an official said.
