Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath had earlier met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had presented a memorandum requesting assistance.
Kamal Nath said that he has been assured by the Prime Minister of a survey to be conducted for estimating the loses.
The loss figure is based on initial assessment of damage caused by heavy rains and subsequent floods which have claimed 225 lives so far.
He stated that Chief Minister Kamal Nath has demanded Rs 2000 crore for relief but not a 'single penny has been granted by the Centre'.
