Home-grown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra on Wednesday reported a steep 55 per cent fall in total sales at 19,358 units in June.
Mahindra & Mahindra's (M&M) Supro range comprises nine vehicles, both in passenger and cargo segments.
The company said it sold 86,351 vehicles in the fourth quarter, down 47 per cent from 1,63,937 units sales in the fourth quarter of 2018-19.
In a regulatory filing, the company said its revenue and profitability will be impacted in line with the fall in volumes mentioned above.
'In the recent times, online has been a preferred purchase channel across categories and going forward, the online purchase of vehicles is set to gain more traction,' CEO said.
Exports were at 56 units last month as compared to 1,057 units in the year-ago period, a decline of 95 per cent, the company said.
In the domestic market, sales were down 90 per cent to 6,130 units last month compared to 59,012 units in March 2019.
Its revenue also moderated to Rs 12,120 crore in the latest quarter, as against Rs 12,893 crore in the same period last fiscal, it said.
