The Congress party’s cadre is robust at the grassroots level, but it requires a force to coordinate and unify everyone.
The grand old party is looking to release the list containing names in constituencies where there are no disputes as a few leaders have already abandoned the party.
He accused the BJP and BRS of conspiring to obstruct the public meeting and said that he hasn’t seen such tactics elsewhere in the country.
AICC Telangana in-charge Manikrao Thakre said that the CLP leader exposed the “anti-people” policies of the BRS and BJP governments.
Thakre’s statements assume significance as several names from the ruling BRS and BJP are doing rounds in political circles.
The BJP leaders believe that Thakre’s mind games are solely to demoralise the cadre while testing the loyalty of some leaders who have been uncomfortable in the BJP.
Thakre said that BRS pretends enmity with BJP but the two parties are friends in secret.
Stating that some senior leaders from both the BJP and the BRS were in touch with him, he said that soon those prominent leaders will join the grand old party.
Thakre also held discussions with two former MPs who had earlier left the party, and asked them to rejoin the party to strengthen its position so that it storms to power in the State, the sources said
Thakre told his party leaders to make themselves available in their respective Assembly constituencies and to propagate facts on the governance of the BRS and BJP governments.
