Goa CM Pramod Sawant said that requests to lower the educational criteria was received from dy CM Chandrakant Kavlekar, Revenue Minister Jeniffer Monserratte and Ports Minister Michael Lobo.
The post had fallen vacant after Michael Lobo resigned earlier this month before his induction into Pramod Sawant-led state cabinet.
Days after 10 Congress MLAs in Goa joined the BJP, CM Sawant reshuffled his cabinet, dropping three members of ally GFP and an Independent legislator as ministers.
Apart from Lobo, Chandrakant Kavlekar, Philip Nery Rodrigues, Atanasio Monserratte, who had quit the Congress and joined the BJP Wednesday, would be sworn in as ministers at Raj Bhavan.
Lobo's comments come days after Rajnath Singh told Parliament that the BJP was not involved in luring MLAs from Karnataka into the party.
