Rao is said to have been in police custody for the last two days and police are likely to announce his arrest on Monday.
Recollecting Friday’s incidents, she said that her father called her just before they left to the hospital.
During interrogation, Maruthi Rao reportedly told police that Pranay and his daughter were in a relation from class IX.
Pranay Kumar, was hacked to death on Friday as he was coming out of a hospital along with his pregnant wife Amrutha Varshini, with whom he had an inter-caste marriage six months ago.
Pranay, son of LIC employee and Amruthavarshini, only daughter of one of Miryalaguda’s richest businessmen Maruthi Rao, were friends from school and their friendship developed to love.
