COVID-19: After barring unvaccinated people from restaurants, Pakistan now bans them from air travel
Patients who have been advised against administering the vaccine will be allowed to travel, provided they have a certificate from the doctor.
In an official update, the Ministry of National Health Services said 62 people died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 23,422.
The warning came as Pakistan contained the third wave of the pandemic that hit the country early March and peaked after mid-April.
Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan, addressing the media, said the vaccination drive was progressing smoothly in Pakistan.
The top anti-corona body decided to ban all indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies from April 5 onwards in cities and districts where the positivity rate will be above 8 per cent.
