"In every village, there are a couple of temples. We have to take people from the beach to the temple," Sawant said, adding his government is pushing for "cultural tourism".

Along the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Sawant said that Goa was on course to become self-reliant in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, pisciculture and dairy.

The list includes three fresh faces -- Ravi Naik, Atanasio 'Babush' Monserrate, and Subhash Siralkar.
More than 10,000 people are likely to attend the event at the stadium, and the swearing-in ceremony will also be broadcast across the coastal state through various news channels.
A new Speaker would be elected during the session, which is expected to complete a range of legislative business, including passing of bills and a vote-on-account.
