Editor-in-Chief of India Speaks Daily, Deo said that Bhagwat’s remarks have hurt the feelings of a large section of Hindu community.
Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "BJP has no icon. So despite not believing in Netaji's ideology, it is paying homage to him for political gains".
Khan said Bhagwat had, in fact, emphasised that no one has the right to claim supremacy on the basis of his birth.
She said that the RSS is working for the betterment of the nation. She also vehemently rejected that the Sangh is anti-woman.
"Now, when the Sangh is receiving the affection and confidence of people and also has become strong, the concept of Hindu Rashtra is being taken seriously," Bhagwat said.
Speaking at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Dussehra rally in Nagpur, Bhagwat said community-based population imbalance is an important subject and should not be ignored.
While RSS maintains it was an outreach effort to strengthen religious inclusivity, Owaisi says RSS chief spoke about cutting down madrasas & the need of Muslims showing more ‘Bharatiyata’ in the meet.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief went to a mosque in central Delhi's Kasturba Gandhi Marg and followed it up with a visit to the Madarsa Tajweedul Quran in Azadpur in north Delhi.
The closed-door meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, was held at Kasturba Gandhi Marg mosque where the office of the All India Imam Organisation is located.
Recalling the ‘unfavourable’ situations, which ABVP workers may have faced to come this far, he said that it was the most difficult path that they had opted for voluntarily.
The meeting was scheduled long back and it had nothing to do with the ongoing stir by Marathas demanding 16 per cent reservation in government jobs and education.
"We will construct it. It is not a populist declaration but a matter of our faith. It will not change," Bhagwat said.
It is the highest post in the country and should be occupied by someone with a clean image, the Shiv Sena MP said.
