Gaikwad further said that his complaints were not addressed, adding that if this was Air India’s behaviour towards a people’s representative, then what it would be towards a common man.
On March 24, a day after the incident at the Delhi airport, Air India had barred Gaikwad from flying with it.
Gaikwad further requested not to penalize any citizen or encroach upon any one’s right just because one’s surname or name resembles his name.
According to Air India sources, the ban was revoked after the airline received a letter from the civil aviation ministry to do so.

Gaikwad, the Osmanabad MP, had last month abused and assaulted a 60-year-old duty manager of the national carrier with slippers.
There have been several reported incidents of unruly behaviour by the fliers onboard various airlines in the recent times.
A party spokesperson said Gaikwad was not a person who would jump into such a thing and it was necessary to know what made him lose his temper.

Gaikwad has various criminal charges against him which include voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servants from duty.
