KR Nagar MLA and former minister Sa Ra Mahesh, a critic of IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri, continued his tirade against the former DC and alleged a ‘cloth bag scam’ during her tenure as DC.
Mahesh said that Sindhuri had made baseless charges against him for bringing to light misuse of funds to construct a swimming pool in the official DC’s residence, besides other violations.
The state government had asked Prakash to conduct an inquiry into the construction of the pool during the tenure of IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri as DC.
It was just last week that Sindhuri was transferred after her spat with Mysuru City Corporation Shilpa Nag became public.
Such things happen everywhere and it is quite common. Officers cannot speak about all the incidents that happen.
The government did not spare Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Shilpa Nag, who went public with her allegation of highhandedness against Sindhuri.
Rejects resignation letter of Mysuru Corp chief; keeps everyone guessing on outcome of meeting
In tears, Shilpa read out her resignation letter, addressed to Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar.
After the video conference, Sindhuri said that the PMO sought details of the best and innovative practices adopted in the district.
At an interaction, the MLA alleged 24 patients died due to the diktat given to oxygen vendors by the district administration, and differences between Mysuru and Chamarajanagar district officials.
The Chamarajanagar DC has come under fire for the hospital tragedy which saw the deaths of 24 Covid-19 patients, for alleged scarcity of oxygen.
