The High Court on Wednesday asked the secretary to the Governor to place before it the records pertaining to the appointment of Neelam Sawhney as the State Election Commissioner (SEC).
The State Election Commissioner Nilah Sawhney issued a notification to conduct a special meeting for the election of Mayor and two Deputy Mayors in the Eluru Municipal Corporation on July 30.
All constitutional appointments were made considering the suitability of the officer, the State government told the Andhra High Court.
