The law student who was arrested for allegedly trying to extort Rs 5 crore from Chinmayanand was released on bail on December 11.
The law student was released a week after securing bail from the Allahabad High Court in the extortion case lodged against her and her three male friends.
UP law student's father said that though he did not want to indulge in any kind of politics, they were forced to seek help from the Gandhi family.
Brinda Karat said that the fight of the law student will be waged at every level and it will be ensured that she gets justice.
The party spoke on Chinmayanand for the first time since he got embroiled in the case in August with BJP’s UP unit claiming that he was no longer a party member.
The law student was taken into custody for an alleged extortion bid of Rs 5 crore from Swami Chinmayanand.
The court has also rejected on the same grounds the bail application of three men -- Sanjay, Sachin and Vikram -- who were arrested on extortion charges filed by the BJP leader.
As per sources, Chinmayanand was about to flee the night before he was taken into custody by the SIT.
The veracity of the videos still has to be forensically established and then it will depend upon the Court to take the cognizance of the videos into account.
