Patna SP probing Sushant Singh Rajput's case reaches Patna, says Mumbai cops obstructing investigation
On Friday, Tiwari had accused the authorities in Mumbai of obstructing the probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case by quarantining only him, and not the four other officers that accompanied him.
Upon his return to Patna late Friday night, Tiwari, who is posted here as the SP City (East), however, declined to spill the beans on the findings of the investigation.
Tiwari had reached Mumbai on Sunday to oversee the probe into the FIR filed against actress Rhea Chakraborty in Rajput's death case.
After the killing of eight policemen during the July 2 raid in Bikru village, Chaubeypur SO Vinay Tiwari was suspended and later arrested.
On his arrival in Mumbai, Vinay Tiwari was asked to remain in quarantine till August 15 and was stamped as quarantined by the BMC.
Patna SP is in Mumbai to probe a case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He was quarantined by BMC after he travelled via a flight to Mumbai to investigate the case.
The BMC stated this in its response to the letter submitted by Bihar Police on August 3 seeking exemption from home quarantine protocols for Tiwari.
DGP Gupteshwar Pandey said that all options are being discussed after this development with sources saying that the state police chief didn't sleep the whole night.

The purported letter, which surfaced on social media on Monday, alleged that station officer Vinay Tiwari had got a serious charge against Dubey dropped.
Mishra was martyred along with seven other cops during the midnight action against gangster Vikas Dubey in Bikru village under Chaubeypur police station area in Kanpur last week.
Police officials also said a surveillance team was scanning over 500 mobile phones and efforts were on to retrieve information pertaining to Dubey.
