Snickers maker apologizes to China after referring Taiwan as separate country in new BTS Ad 

Amid escalating tension between China-US, American candy giant Mars Wrigley has apologised after an advert for its Snickers bar referred to Taiwan as a country, sparking outrage on the mainland. "We are aware of reports on Snickers-related activities in certain regions of Asia, take this very seriously and express our deep apologies," said a Mars Wrigley statement posted Friday on Snickers China's Weibo page. In another Weibo post, Snickers China added that "there is only one China in this world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory".

Manipur Landslide: Death toll rises to 47; 5 more bodies retrieved, 14 missing

Day 6- Manipur Landslide The death toll in the Manipur landslide tragedy went up to 47 on July 5 with the recovery of 5 more bodies. This includes 28 Territorial Army soldiers. An intensive search is underway for the 6th day to trace people who are still missing. Rescue workers were using sniffer dogs and radar technology to search for people still buried in the debris.

The death toll in the landslide that occurred in Noney district of Manipur on June 30 went up to *14 with the recovery of 2 more bodies on July 1. India successfully test-fires 'BrahMos' supersonic cruise missile from INS Chennai

In a first, India on October 18 successfully flight-tested supersonic cruise missile #BrahMos from the Navy's indigenously-built stealth destroyer #INSChennai. Defence sources said the missile, fired at about 10.30 am, hit the battle practice target in the Arabian sea with pinpoint accuracy after performing high-level and extremely complex manoeuvres.
