PFI bandh turns violent in Kerala; High Court takes suo moto case against outfit

The bandh or hartal called by the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Kerala against the nationwide raids and arrests of its key leaders by the NIA turned violent. Several incidents of vandalism and violence have been reported across the state and stones were pelted in various districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Alappuzha.

Agnipath: 500 trains cancelled, security beefed up in several states over Bharat Bandh

In view of the Bharatbandh call by some organisations as a protest against the Agnipath scheme, security has been beefed up in several states. Tight security forces are deployed in Bihar, Vijayawada, West Bengal's Howrah and Punjab to tackle any crisis that may arise. Parts of Delhi witnessed traffic jams as several roads were blocked ahead of the Congress' protest against the Agnipath and ongoing Rahul Gandhi's ED grilling.
