The ex gratia will be provided by the states from the State Disaster Response Fund.
It will deal with the grievances regarding certification of death and issue amended documents after directly accessing the hospital medical records to ascertain claims.
Ex-gratia assistance will also be given to the kin of those who died of the virus due to involvement in COVID-19 relief operations.
