MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao had recently written Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seeking an allocation of Rs 7,778 crore in the Budget for various developmental works.
Reasons reported include delay in land acquisition, delay in obtaining forest and environment clearances, and lack of infrastructure support and linkages.
The total anticipated cost of these 144 projects is Rs 1,82,453.84 crore, up from Rs 1,67,493.82 estimated originally.
