Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed his support for simultaneous polls to the Lok Sabha and state Legislature in the country.
AAP leader Ashish Khetan, who appeared before the Law Commission to present his party's views, said after the meet: "We are against the idea of the so-called one-nation-one-poll".
The DMK on Sunday attended the meeting convened by the Law Commission on the feasibility of holding simultaneous polls for the Lok Sabha and state Assemblies.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Sunday announced that they favoured the idea of simultaneous polls to the Lok Sabha and the state assemblies.
In a minor embarrassment to BJP, its ally in Goa, Goa Forward Party also opposed the idea.
The Niti Aayog has favoured conducting synchronised two-phase Lok Sabha and Assembly elections from 2024 in "national interest".
